LCUN is a nonprofit organization that has been in operation since 2017 in the environmental sector to make Nepal greener by creating different environment-related campaigns throughout Nepal.
Like LCUN, the main focus of River CleanUp is to save the planet by making zero waste in rivers world wide. They are currently campaigning for such projects every week throughout different countries.
The main motive to organize this campaign is to educate local people regarding the environment as we can see that there’s a lot of rubbish nearby the river. The river is so polluted due to people throwing all their waste into the river. People are contributing to making nature polluted.
In this campaign, local leaders Mr. Buwan Tripathi and Mr. Shiva Pandey permitted the team to perform the clean-up in those areas. This campaign wouldn’t have been possible without their generous support.
In this Trishuli River clean-up, 54 highly motivated river warriors were involved in picking up the trash from the river to reduce plastics pollution. All of the river cleaners were so enthusiastic and brave while having similar visions to save nature by not polluting it.
They cleaned up for almost more than six hours during the hot temperature.
